Food Service Worker
Full time. High school or equivalent education required. Behavioral Health / Health Care skills.
Responsible to the Food Services Supervisor for various assigned duties necessary for the efficient operation of a private residential boarding school’s food service program. Prepare, cook and serve three nutritious meals in a commercial kitchen to large numbers of students and staff.
Responsible for preparing and coookin special meals and special events items as requested. Assures the cleanliness and safe operation of all kitchen equipment and utensils through inspection and regular sanitation. Cleans and maintains the kitchen area in accordance with program policy and state regulation. May assist in food inventory, purchasing and stocking.
Minimum one year of experience with preparation, cooking and food handling techniques, preferably in a large quantity environment. Ability to operate and maintain various kitchen equipment and utensils. Ability to communicate effectively when receiving and/or giving direction.
Must be able to regularly carry medium weight up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time. Capable of working in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
Position will split hours each week between two boarding schools located in Bonners Ferry and Naples, Idaho.
