Who will be there?

Over 100 special education directors, school psychologists, teachers, advocates, state officials, hearing officers, and attorneys representing both sides from across the country. The faculty consists of 20 experienced, practicing attorneys, equally divided between those representing school districts and those representing parents.

How is the week structured?

Sunday evening features the keynote dinner and address by Ruth Ryder, Acting OSEP Director, U.S. Department of Education, who will present the department’s latest priorities and implementation activities.

Friday concludes with Dr. Perry Zirkel’s National Case Law Update and Crystal Ball, a comprehensive summary of the recent year’s legal developments and a look ahead to emerging legal issues.

What are the “hot topic” sessions?

Three-hour sessions intensely focused on hot topics, as evidenced by current case law and as identified in the practices of prominent special education attorneys.
